CAD Project

In this we are creating 3-D shapes from diagrams given to us.
The point of it is to further mastery of the Inventor Program.

Instructions:
1: create a rectangle the goes 7 in back and 2 in right. create a rectangle from the back right courner that goes 4 in foward, and 1 right. From the back right corner of the 2nd rectangle create a rectangle that goes 7 in foward and 2 in right. Go to model and hit extrude, hold down CTRL and select all three rectangle. Extrude them up 2 in.
2: go to creat 2D sketch and select the top of you're shape. From tthe back left hand corner create a rectangle that goes 2 in foward and 5 in right. Go to extrude and extrude up 2 in.
3. Go to create 2-D sketch and select the top of the rectangular prism u just added to the top of you're shap. From the back left corner create a rectangle that goes foward 2 in and 1 in to the right. From the back right corner maqke a recgtanle that is 2 in foward and 1 in left. Then extrude both these rectangles up 1 in.

It is neccisary to be detailed when documenting you're design(creating instruction for it) so that you're instructions are not misinturprated of it by others.

Personaly I found it harder to follow my partners insructions since they were not clear in terms of direction and didnt see fit to use vertexis as reference points.

(not sure of the relevence of the question) Mass has to do witrh the amount of matter while weight is the measure of gravities effect on that amount, thus while something may have a different mass of the moon then on earth, due to difference in gravity, the amount of matter does not change so thus the mass stayes the same.

There is no difference between surface area and area, perhaps you meant volume rather than area?
